When a solar panel is actually being used, it is normal that the actual power does not reach the rated power. Below are factors that will cause the power to be lower than the rated power and how to fix them.
The strength of the sunlight: The strength of the sun’s rays will cause the output power to fluctuate. While it may be relatively close to the tested conditions at noon on a clear day, it may be less in the morning or afternoon. Weather conditions will affect the light conditions, and hazy, cloudy, or rainy weather will cause the actual power to be much less than the rated power.
Surface temperature: The surface temperature of the solar panel will affect the power performance of the solar panel. The lower the surface temperature, the better the power performance. For example, the power of the solar panel in the winter will be higher than in the summer, which is normal. In summer, solar panels are exposed to light at a temperature close to 60°C; even if the light is better, the power will be 13% lower than the rated power.
The angle of the sun’s rays: In good lighting, the solar panel can be perpendicular to the sunlight for better performance. A 10-degree difference between the light and the 90-degree angle of the panel has little effect on the power.
Interferences: When the solar panel is in use, try not to have anything covering the surface, including shadows, foreign objects, glass interferences, and even dust.
Faulty state: The product may be faulty if there is no power or the power is much less than the rated data if the above conditions are all satisfied. Contact after-sales for processing.
Adjustable, corrosion-resistant aluminum stand. Four adjustable kickstands for slightly adjusting the angle to get better sunshine. It can be unfolded into 4 panels on your RV cars by the suction cup day and night on your outdoor adveture.
The Solar Charger is IP67, with waterproof MC4 port so that you can submerge the panel in water for up to 30 minutes with no detri-mental effect to the product. You can enjoy solar energy by placing the panel on the outside even in the bad weather.
Waterproof & Dustproof Design: Solar Phone Charger works properly even in rainy days(Waterproof USB cap closed). The solar charger is IPX4 waterproof, dustproof and shockproof, very sturdy and durable as outdoors hiking gear or camping gear.
This solar charger can be folded into a briefcase for easy transport. The storage pouch is made of special durable polymer fabric protect it from occasional rain or wet fog so you don’t need to worry about it when it is rain.
Four 30 W Monocrystalline Solar Panels features Anti-reflective, high transparency with high conversion rate. Performance with more energy generation over the life of the system, but also offer durable quality.
Works seamlessly with ecoFlow delta. It is not lightweight but it has excellent build quality with Matt finish. The carrying case is very useful it only it provides storage and easy transportation but also as support so the solar panels can be angled correctly toward the sun.
The max output measures was 70w in a partially cloudy day. Unfortunately we don’t have perfectly sunny day lately. I will keep you guys updated during the summer time!
Ecoflow just does it right; these are my favorite solar panels yet. You can tell right away that they are very well manufactured; not a flaw in them and they’re built with great materials. They’re chainable, lightweight, powerful, and tough – couldn’t ask for anything more. Also IP67 waterproof (can survive 30 minutes under 1 meter of water, so leaving them out in a rainstorm is no problem).
The best part though is the portability – each 110watt foldable comes in at less than 10lbs; and they are very thin even when folded. So with two of them you can get 220watts of panels for half of the weight of comparably sized solar panels that come in bulky aluminum frames.
The only downside I’ve found is that I don’t really like the carrying case which is also used as the prop to angle the solar panels towards the sun – it uses a couple of carabiners hooked through holes in the panels to hold it up and it can barely keep the panels square when you have the entire panel unfolded. It’s kind of awkward to use and doesn’t keep the panels propped up & angled well. Would be better to have some legit kickstands instead.
But overall that’s not a big deal since you can just prop them up using anything, and they charge really well even just sitting flat all day (in full sun I average around 165-175watts input out of two 110w panels wired in a series).
